Once again Welton hosted a round of the Yorkshire and Humberside Youth Sailing Association travellers. In some challanging conditions with pretty severe gusts 12 visitors battled hard for three races in what is now an annual event for Welton. It’s really great to so so many young and enthusiastic sailors on the water.

Miracle Open 14/15 April Results

A very cold weekend saw 6 travellers join 5 boats from the Welton fleet for this two day regatta. All 5 races enjoyed (?) pretty stiff breezes with good dollops of rain and sleet thrown

Commodore’s Newsletter February 2012

The full text of the Commodore’s Winter newsletter is now available in the downloads Section. Some main points; Formal racing starts on Sunday April 1st but there will be a Frosbite series starting February 26th (first race 1.00)

Feb 2012 It being a bit chilly for sailing we took the opportunity to take down some rotten trees.

Members have also been hard at work re-decking the main jetty as it was getting a bit rotten after 30 years.

This will be ready in a week or so in time for the Winter Series

This took place last Saturday in lovely sunny weather and a nice Force 2-4 fresh SE wind. We had 25 boats attend which allowed close competitive racing with good starts and no protests making it an enjoyable day for everybody. Well done to
